Samskip Russia is launching a new trailer service from European countries to Russia, Baltics and CIS countries and vice versa as an expansion of its multimodal service, the company said in its press release.
This new connections is in addition to Samskip's existing shortsea services connecting Rotterdam and Hamburg with St. Petersburg (2 calls a week). The new trailer product will enlarge the range of services to the market significantly and delivers additional opportunities. The service includes box, tilt or mega/jumbo trailers for general, temperature controlled or hazard cargoes bonded and or non-bonded transport solutions for full truck loads (FTL) or less than truck loads (LTL).
“Customers who are demanding faster transit times and transport requirements from any origin including those countries which are geographically closer to Russia (e.g. Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Belarus, Ukraine) and where it's logically worth using trailers can now be perfectly served by this new complementary product,” says Andrey Gryazev, Managing Director Russia.
