In January-September 2018, port Kavkaz handled 37.926 million tonnes of cargo (+25%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility increased by 37% to 13.618 million tonnes.
Transshipment of grain grew by 78% to 17.973 million tonnes, coal – 2.4 times to 1.054 million tonnes, oil products – by 5% to 9.708 million tonnes while transshipment of sulphur fell 2,4 times to 967,000 tonnes.
Exports from the port dropped by 10% to 573,000 tonnes, imports – grew by 72% to 129,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 19% to 23.289 million tonnes.
In the 9-month period, passenger traffic fell by 61% to 1,395,350 passengers.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 31% to 316,600 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz fell by 6% to 20,320 calls.
