Throughput of Port St. Petersburg up 12% to 44.22 million tonnes in 9M’18

In January-September 2018, The Port of St. Petersburg handled 44.22 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 26% to 6.82 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – declined by 3% to 6.25 million tonnes, general cargo – up 10% to 10.21 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 19% to 1.05 million tonnes.

The port’s container throughput increased by 12.1% to 1.94 million TEUs.

In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
