Ukraine plans dredging of 16.33 million cbm of material in 2019

On 22 October 2018, SE «Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine» (USPA) will hold a meeting to discuss capital and operational dredging projects in seaports, as well as in inland waterways, USPA says in a press release.

The total amount of planned work for 2019 is 16,335million m3: dredging capital – 7,455 million m3, operational in seaports and canals – 7,88 million m3, dredging works in inland waterways — 1 million m3.

Among capital construction project is the reconstruction of the operating area of the1st bucket of the Dry Estuary of the Illichevsky branch office of the SE USPA with an increase the depth up to 15 m (4–5 construction lines) and reconstruction of water approaches, maneuvering areas and operational water areas, taking into account the prospective cargo turnover of the Yuzhny seaport (the first stage of construction. The second and fourth launch complexes).

Besides, there are projects on maintaining of passport depths on the Bug -Dnieper Liman channel (BDLC); Berdiansk and Mariupol sea ports; Kiev, Kamensky, Kanevsky, Kremenchugsky, Dneprodzerzhinsky, Dnieper and Kakhovsky reservoirs.
