The keel of the first tanker-suetzmax of PRISCO has been already laid, vladivostoktimes.com reports. As the press-service of PRISCO reported to PrimaMedia, the representatives of the ship-owner, of the dockyard, of the classified society Det Norske Veritas (DNV) attended the ceremony, which is considered to be the commencement of the vessel's building.
The shipbuilders of the South-Korean dockyard "Hyunday Heavy Industries" conduct the building of two vessels of a new series for PRISCO at once. Each of them is 166 thousand dead-weight of 1A ice class on DNV classification. PRISCO plans to put vessels into operation in the second half of the current year.
At present time they conduct assembling of separate blocks of hulls future tankers and also testing of systems and mechanisms of ships.
