On November 14, the major ASW ship Severomorsk, the Northern Fleet, being on distant cruise in the Gulf of Aden, completed a call to the port of Djibouti, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Its main aim is to replenish food supplies. Personnel also had a rest during the visit, which started on November 12.
In the near future, the ASW ship Severomorsk will continue its missions in the Gulf of Aden.
Recently before calling to port of Djibouti, the Northern Fleet's ship had participated in the Russian-Japanese naval anti-piracy exercise.
The ship has been operating in the Indian Ocean since late September.
The long-distance cruise of the major ASW ship Severomorsk started when she left the main basing point –– Severomorsk –– on July 5, 2018. To date, the ship has passed more than 24,000 nautical miles, completed a number of military-diplomatic missions, and visited ports of Algiers, Victoria, Pemba, Antsiranana and Djibouti.
