In January-October 2018, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 49.14 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 28% to 7.67 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – declined by 4% to 6.88 million tonnes, general cargo – up 10% to 11.27 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 16% to 1.16 million tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 11.6% to 1.77 million TEUs.
In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
