Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia approves amendments to railway transport tariffs

The Board of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation has approved amendments to tariffs on cargo transportation by railway transport. According to the press center of FAS Russia, the amendments comply with the decisions of RF Government.

In particular, a scale-up factor (1.08) will be used for transportation of all export cargoes excluding oil and alumina.

Besides, a scale-up factor (1.06) will be applied to empty run of open-top railcars to encourage reduction of empty run and non-productive operations of railway transport.

The amendments let ensure balance the sources of long-term financial plan and investment programme of Russian Railways. FAS Russia will continue improving its tariff system.
