LNG bunkering in Sabetta to be arranged at project cargo berths

LNG bunkering in Sabetta (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region) is to be arranged at the project cargo berths, No 5 and No 6, Aleksandr Strashny, Development Director, ZAO GT Morstroy (designer), told IAA PortNews at the Oil Terminal 2018 congress in Saint-Petersburg.

According to him, those berths were used for handling of project cargo during the construction.

The construction of Sabetta port on the Yamal peninsula began in 2012.

Arctic port Sabetta is built on the western shore of the Gulf of Ob (Kara Sea) for transshipment of hydrocarbons from the South-Tambey gas condensate field on the Yamal peninsula to the Western Europe, South America and APR countries under Yamal LNG project. The project envisages the construction of an LNG plant able to produce 16.5 million metric tons of LNG and 1.35 million tonnes of gas condensate per year.
