Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has advised its passengers who were on board the NORWEGIAN JADE that the vessel could not continue its scheduled voyage due to mechanical problems on November 18, 2018, the Federal Maritime Commission said in its news release.
NCL has told the Federal Maritime Commission that passengers on the NORWEGIAN JADE will receive a full refund for the voyage, as well as a 100% credit for a future cruise; NCL will also provide return travel to Miami and up to a $650 credit on air change fees per person to return to their original departure city.
Passengers should always carefully read their ticket contract, which states the cruise line's obligations with respect to cancelled voyages. If cruise passengers have purchased travel insurance, they should consult their policy to determine whether to file a claim.
