Hapag-Lloyd implements Peak Season Surcharge from East Asia (excl.Japan) to North Europe and Med

Due to strong market demand which occurs before Chinese New Year holidays, Hapag-Lloyd announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all non-dangerous cargoes for 20’ and 40’ General Purpose (incl. High Cube Containers) on the westbound trade from East Asia (excluding Japan) to North Europe and Mediterranean, effective for sailings as of January 7, 2019 onwards and until further notice by  USD 200 per TEU. Ocean tariff rates for other container types on this trade remain unchanged.
