New IMO regulations on coal transportation and amendments to IMSBC Code to be discussed at 2nd Dangerous Goods Conference
New IMO regulations on coal transportation and amendments to the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes Code (IMSBC Code) will be discussed at the 2nd Dangerous Goods: New Transportation Regulations Conference in Moscow on 12 March 2019.
The Conference is organized by Russia’s leading maritime industry media group PortNews under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Strict compliance with the dangerous goods transportation regulations and requirements, including explosives, is a fundamental factor in the accident-free operations of both maritime and related modes of transport. The Russian Federation successfully implements a monitoring system for safe transport of dangerous goods (DGs), which complies with the main provisions of international law in this area.
The conference participants will report and discuss application of this monitoring system in multimodal transportation of export / import dangerous goods, control and supervision of DGs handling, the experience of the cargo transportation.
