Anthony Veder expands its fleet with new 30 000 cbm LNG carrier

Anthony Veder says it has expanded its fleet with a 30,000 cbm liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier that is currently being constructed by Zhejiang Xinle Shipbuilding in Ningbo. The vessel will be finished under supervision of Anthony Veder and will be operational for worldwide trading in the summer of 2019. After delivery it will be renamed with a Coral name. Anthony Veder will handle the commercial operation and ship management.

“We are proud to add a new LNG carrier to our fleet in this relatively short time frame and look forward to our close cooperation with Xinle Shipbuilding to finalize the vessel”, says Jan Valkier, CEO of Anthony Veder. “Our company has a long history in building and delivering ships in China such as the LNG-fuelled LEG vessels Coral Star and Coral Sticho. We are excited to return to China for this latest addition to our fleet after five years of absence.”

The Anthony Veder Group was incorporated in 1937 as a shipowner and port agent. In 1969, we began operating our first gas tanker and have been involved in gas shipping ever since. We operate exclusively gas tankers in all segments of the gas market, from CO2 to ethylene and from LPG to LNG. We own the majority of our fleet, but also operate gas tankers on behalf of other quality owners.
