Income of the port of Klaipeda to grow by one fifth in 2007
According to the forecasts, cargo turnover of the port of Klaipeda is to reach 25 mln tons in 2007, while the port’s income is to grow by one fifth to $53.9 mln, Lietuvos zinios reports according to RZD-Partner. The port’s Director General Sigiras Dobilinskas forecasts growth of loading by 10-11%. "This year we are to spend $81.9 mln including $50.7 mln to be spent for investments and over $7.69 mln – for loan repayment. It is our actual budget," Dobilinskas says. In 2006, the port’s income totaled $43.8 mln. This year the port is to get $46.1 mln of port charges and piloting and $7.6 mln of rent payments. In 2006, loading totaled 23.5 mln tons of cargo (+8%, year-on-year).
