Throughput of Russian seaports in 3M'2019 grew by 4.7% to 201.8 million tonnes of cargo (detalization)

In January-March 2019, seaports of Russia handled 201.8 million tonnes of cargo (up 4.7%, year-on-year), says press center of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry cargo totaled 87.1 million tonnes (-1.3%) including 39.0 million tonnes of coal (+10.3%), 13.4 million tonnes of containerized cargo (+7.5%), 8.7 million tonnes of grain (-30.0%), 7.7 million tonnes of ferrous metal (-2.4%), 4.4 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+1.2%) and 2.0 million tonnes of ore (+25.3%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 114.7 million tonnes (+9.7%) including 66.9 million tonnes of crude oil (+8.8%), 37.8 million tonnes of oil products (+3.5%) and 8.4 million tonnes of liquefied gas (up 1.6 times). 

Exports totaled 157.7 million tonnes (+6.3%), imports - 8.9 million tonnes (+3.0%), transit - 16.9 million tonnes (+6.8%), coastal trade cargo - 18.3 million tonnes (-8.7%).

Operators of seaports in the Arctic Basin handled 26.1 million tonnes (+24.9%, year-on-year) including 18.6 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+31.1%) and 7.5 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+12.0%). Throughput of Sabetta port surged 2.2 times to 6.8 million tonnes, the port of Murmansk handled 16.1 million tonnes (+9.4%). 

Operators of seaports in the Baltic Basin handled 62.8 million tonnes (+5.1%) including 26.1 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+4.7%) and 36.7 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+5.3%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 26.3 million tonnes (+8.4%), Primorsk - 14.0 million tonnes (+5.2%), Big Port St. Petersburg - 14.3 million tonnes (+2.9%), Vysotsk - 5.1 million tonnes (+12.0%).

Operators of seaports in the Azov-Black Sea Basin handled 61.7 million tonnes (-4.4%) including 22.7 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-18.0%) and 38.9 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+5.8%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 39.5 million tonnes (+2.2%), Taman- 4.3 million tonnes (+29.5%), Rostov-on-Don - 3.5 million tonnes (+2.2%), Tuapse - 5.8 million tonnes (-14.0%), Kavkaz - 3.0 million tonnes (-41.6%), Kerch - 0.8 million tonnes (down 2.3 times). 

Operators of seaports in the Caspian Basin handled 1.6 million tonnes (+20.8%) including 0.6 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-20.2%) and 1.0 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (up 1.9 times).  The port of Makhachkala handed 1.0 million tonnes (+44.1%), Astrakhan - 0.6 million tonnes (-1.8%), Olya – 79,700 tonnes (-7.6%). 

Operators of seaports in the Far East Basin handled 49.6 million tonnes (+7.1%) including 30.1 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+7.2%) and 19.5 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+7.0%). Vostochny Port handled 17.7 million tonnes (+4.5%), Vanino - 7.8 million tonnes (+7.7%), Nakhodka - 6.4 million tonnes (+8.5%), Vladivostok - 5.4 million tonnes (+13.2%), De-Kastri - 3.5 million tonnes (+23.0%), Posiet - 1.9 million tonnes (+9.7%), Prigorodnoye - 4.3 million tonnes (-8.4%).

ASOP comprises commercial seaports. forwarding and agency companies. scientific research institutes and marine educational institutions. Operational results of Russian port sector are based on statistics reports and cover all stevedoring companies operating in the Russian Federation.
