Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-April 2019, edged down 1.1% from the same period in 2018, to 205.72 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Four-month volume oil cargo and non-oil bulk cargo fell 0.6% and 2%, accordingly, to 73.76 million and 5.58 million tonnes.
Container traffic climbed by 0.9% to 11.89 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. In 2018, the port handled 630.03 million tonnes of cargo.
