Throughput of Rostov-on-Don port in 4M’19 fell by 7% Y-o-Y to 5.11 million tonnes

In January-April 2019, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 5.073 million tonnes of cargo (-7%, year-on-year), the port told IAA PortNews.

In the reporting period, loading totaled 4.601 million tonnes (-10%).

Transshipment of transit cargo grew by 39% to 515,000 tonnes.

Thus, unloading totaled 99,000 tonnes (-18%, year-on-year).

In the reporting period, transshipment of grain accounted for 36% of the total throughput, oil products – for 25%, non-grain dry bulk cargo – for 12%.

The Harbour Master’s office says the number of calls totaled 1,536 units.
