Sakhalin Energy and Osaka Gas sign an agreement on annual supply of 0.20m tonnes of LNG
Sakhalin Energy and Osaka Gas have signed an agreement on supplies of 0.20m tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually to Japan for the next 20 years, RBC reports according to RZD-Partner.
According to the press office of Sakhalin Energy, the company has completed LNG sales produced as part of the Sakhalin-2 project, as 98 percent of the total volume has been distributed under contracts.
Supplies will begin in 2008 from an LNG plant at the southern tip of the Sakhalin Island. Its construction is 95 percent completed. More than 60 percent of liquefied natural gas will be supplied to nine companies throughout Japan, reports RBC.
