Vostochny Port (Primorsky Territory) and Rosterminalugol (Ust-Luga) coal terminals undertake a comprehensive equipment modernization, Irina Olkhovskaya, First Deputy to General Director of Port Management Company LLC, told IAA PortNews.
“The main thing for us is to ensure environmental safety of the transshipment proves. For that purpose the terminals are conducting a comprehensive work through implementation of comprehensive environmental programmes. Considerable resources are investmented into it”, said Irina Olkhovskaya.
Vgrangel, Primorsky Territory based Vostochny Port is Russia's largest dedicated open access coal port offering technologically advanced transshipment of coal. The terminal features covered stations for unloading and transfer of coal, conveyor equipment, rotary car dumpers, shiploaders and the second-to-none system of multi-stage magnetic coal separation.
Rosterminalugol JSC (port Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region) is the largest dedicated coal terminal in the European part of Russia. The terminal built with the application of the innovative technologies is intended to supply Russian coal produced in Kuzbass and other coal fields to the customers in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Latin America.
