J-ENG presents the latest technologies about MGO mono-fuel engine (UEC-LSJ), together with UEC42LSH and LP-EGR at 29th CIMAC World Congress
CIMAC is the most extensive platform for the dialogue amongst researcher, engine designer, manufacturer, and engine users. The 29th CIMAC World Congress is taking place from 10 – 14 June 2019 in Vancouver, Canada. At this congress, Japan Engine Corporation (J-ENG) has presented the latest technologies, MGO mono-fuel engine and Low Pressure EGR(LP-EGR).
The titles and key points of the papers are as follows;
Title: The Latest Technologies of J-ENG UE Engine
Key points:
・UEC42LSH, a newly developed engine type, has been introduced.
・MGO is one of the best solutions for IMO-SOx regulation of 2020.
・The latest engine, UEC-LSJ, using MGO mono-fuel, realizes superior low fuel oil consumption complying with both NOx and SOx regulations applying highly efficient combustion technology and stratified water injection technology. And the engine provides the merits for all stake holders such as enhanced engine reliability, reduced risk for downtime, low maintenance costs, easy operation, simplified engine room equipment and no necessity of SOx scrubber.
Title: The Latest technology of NOx Emission Control for UE Engine
Key points:
・The upgrading situation of LP-EGR system, a J-ENG’s original technology, on commercial engines.
・The following features have been reinforced.
Simple and compact system
Simple operation and control
High fuel economy when using EGR
Zero discharge from Water Treatment System
