Rescue tug Professor Nikolai Muru is heading to the Persian Gulf to support RF Navy team in the Depth 2019 international contest
The rescue tug Professor Nikolai Muru detached from the Novorossiysk naval base, Black Sea Fleet, is making a transition from Novorossiysk to the Persian Gulf, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
For the first time in the recent history of the Black Sea Fleet, the vessel of this project makes a sea crossing of such a range.
The Russian tug is heading to the Persian Gulf in order to support the Russian Navy team participating in the Depth 2019 international contest which is to take place in the islamic Republic of Iran in early August.
At present the ship is preparing to pass through the Bosporus and Dardanelles straitsю
During the sea crossing, which will last more than 20 days, the crew will pass the Suez canal, three straits, four bays and six seas.
