Best employees awarded on occasion of professional holiday celebrated at Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg
On the occasion of the Marine and River Fleet Workers’ Day which is traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of July, 23 employees of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb, a company of UCL Holding) were awarded with industry-related, governmental and corporate awards, the company says in a press release.
The Transport Committee of Saint-Petersburg, Kirovsky District Administration and Marine Board of the City Government awarded certificates of appreciation and bonuses to five company employees. 18 employees were awarded a commendation for a dedicated work and success from the Managing Director of SP SPb. Among the awarded employees are dock engineers, tallymen, turners, electricians, engineers and other specialists.
Also, 21 employees of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC, the most experienced and honored ones, were awarded the title of the Veteran of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg on the occasion of the professional holiday.
Among them is, Igor Mishin, Deputy to Chief Operating Officer, Railway Operations. Igor Mishin has been with the port for a quarter of a century having started as a shift supervisor. He acknowledges that obtaining the title of a veteran is not only a professional milestone but also a significant event of the whole life.
“It is a pleasure to be awarded the title of the Veteran of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg, a company with a great history without which our city is inconceivable. I am sure, we are to face many more fruitful years”, says Igor Mishin.
In appreciation of their long service new veterans and those who had retired from Saint-Petersburg port to take well-deserved rest, those celebrating anniversaries and activists of the veterans organization – were provided with financial gifts.
