    Throughput of Port St. Petersburg in 6M'2019 climbed by 1% Y-o-Y to 30.07 million tonnes

    In January-June 2019, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 30.07 million tonnes of cargo (+1%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 3% to 4.55 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – declined by 3% to 4.23 million tonnes, general cargo – down 9% to 6.27 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – down 10% to 638,200 tonnes, transshipment of loose cargo grew by 38% to 218,000 tonnes including 209,500 tonnes of timber (+37%).

    The port’s container throughput increased by 6% to 1,148,780 TEUs.

    In 2018, the port handled 59.32 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 2.7 mln TEUs.
