Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-June 2019 edged up 0.6% Y/Y to 315.17 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Six-month volume of oil cargo and non-oil bulk cargo rose 6.1% and 1.9%, accordingly, to 116.1 million and 8.54 million tonnes.
Container traffic remained almost flat at 18.03 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. In 2018, the port handled 630.03 million tonnes of cargo.
