Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS, the Register) has been a host for the conference “Amendments to the Register Rules related to the fishing fleet”.
It was held on 10 July 2019 within the framework of the III Global Fishery Forum and International Exhibition of Fish Industry, Seafood and Technology - SEAFOOD EXPO RUSSIA. The focus of the conference was to keep an open dialogue with design bureaus, shipyards and companies operating fishing vessels.
Over 20 Russian and foreign organizations of the industry participated in the event, RS says in a press release.
36 fishing vessels on 18 various designs are being built to RS class. Ice class fishing vessels are the mainstream: more than 225 Ice3 and more than 25 Arc4 ice class ships are under RS technical supervision.
The proposals of the industry leading enterprises, received in 2019, will also be reviewed by the Register aiming to improve further the requirements and customize them to the up-to-date demands of the dynamically developing industry.
