Investor of Primorsky MRC project promises no negative impact on environmentally protected sites
Negative impact on environmentally protected sites in the Leningrad Region’s Vyborgsky District during implementation of the project on construction of Primorsky MRC is excluded, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Dmitry Temkin, Deputy General Director for Project Engineering, Primorsk MRC LLC, as saying at the public discussion of the project documentation.
According to him, the new port facilities will be located far from the spawning area in the Bjyerkezund Strait (more than 5 km). Besides, there will be no negative impact on the following environmentally protected sites: Vysokinskoye lake (more than 3 km) and Beryozoviye islands (more than 4 km).
Primorsky Multipurpose Reloading Complex project foresees the construction of a terminal in the port of Primorsk (Vyborg District of the Leningrad Region). Investments into the project are estimated at RUB 170 billion. The project is to be implemented by a private investor by 2022.
