In the first half of 2019, Multipurpose Reloading Complex LLC (MRC, a company of UCL Holding) operating at the port of Ust-Luga handled 2.7 million tonnes of cargo, up 6%, year-on-year, the company says in a press release.
Transshipment of power coal, the company's key cargo, grew by 8% to over 2.61 million tonnes while handling of petcoke fell by 26% to 59,000 tonnes.
Average daily handling of railcars totaled 202 units with the maximum result as high as 311 units. In the reporting period, the company handled 36,583 railcars and 67 vessels.
