Hanjin, Coscon & ‘K’ Line upgrade South China-Middle East service

The South China-Middle East express service (SMX) currently operated through joint partnership by Hanjin, Coscon and ‘K’ Lline is being upgraded, effective February 22, 2007. In response to the growing demand of trade between Asia and Abu Dhabi, the SMX partners will enhance the calling ports to include direct calling at Abu Dhabi. The new port rotation is: Yantian (Thu-Thu) > Hongkong (Thu-Fri) > Singapore (Mon/Tue) > Dubai, Jebel Ali (Wed/Thu) > Abu Dhabi (Thu/Fri) > Bandar Abbas (Fri/Sat) > Singapore (Sun/Sun) > Yantian (Thu/Thu). The upgraded SMX will provide one of the fastest services in the market, with transit times from South China to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bandar Abbas of twelve, thirteen and fourteen days respectively.
