Cryogas Kaliningrad is set to launch its facility for production and shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) before the end of 2019, says press center of regional government.
As of today, the works on construction of the facility’s first turn have been completed. Its production capacity is 7 tonnes of LNG per hour. Total annual capacity of the facility will be 147,000 tonnes (three turns of 49,000 tonnes each). The decision on construction of the next turns will be made upon the results of the first turn operation in 2019 – 2020.
Investments into the first turn of the facility are estimated at RUB 4 billion. More than 40 high qualification jobs have been generated under the project.
According to Dmitry Kuskov, Minister for the Economic Development, Industry and Trade of the Kaliningrad Region, “The first facility with 100% liquefaction of natural gas basing on domestic technologies developed jointly by Cryogenmash and Cryogas has been created under the project.
