Throughput of port Vyborg in Jan-Aug’2019 fell by 30% Y-o-Y to 810,300 tonnes

In January-August 2019, the port of Vyborg handled 810,300 tonnes of cargo (-30%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo fell by 29% to 760,700 tonnes including 11,000 tonnes of ore (up 3.7 times, 408,600 tonnes of coal and coke (-41%) and 322,300 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-10%). 

Transshipment of general cargo fell by 8% to 43,400 tonnes including 3,200 tonnes of timber (-71%) and 37,100 tonnes of packaged cargo (-3%).

In 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 1.93 million tonnes of cargo (+25%, year-on-year).
