Samsung Heavy wins US$400 mln order to build oil ship
Samsung Heavy Industries Co., the world's second-largest shipbuilder, said Wednesday that it has received a US$400 million order to build a floating production storage and off-loading ship for an unidentified shipping company in Norway.
The shipbuilder said it will receive 58 percent of the deal in the won, around 222 billion won ($236 million), as part of efforts to reduce currency losses. The won gained around 9 percent against the U.S. dollar last year.
