Cargo turnover of Petrolesport OJSC (Saint Petersburg) up 2% in Jan. 07, y-o-y

In January 2007, cargo turnover of Petrolesport OJSC grew by 2%, year-on-year, to 454.0 thou tons, PortNews IAA learnt from the company. Over the reported period the company’s container turnover grew by 46% to 227.7 thou tons (26735.0 teus). Transshipment of timber totaled 114.3 thou tons (-10%, year-on-year), metal scrap – 51.5 thou tons (-57%), refrigerated cargo – 13.3 thou tons (+46%). Transshipment of other general cargo amounted to 47.2 thou tons Petrolesport OJSC is a stevedoring company of Saint Petersburg port. Petrolesport carries out cargo transshipment at 11 berths of Lesnoi port (No 42-64 and 46). In 2006, the company handled 1712.7 thou tons of cargo, including 801.0 thou tons of containerized cargo (92 861 teus).
