Nobel Brothers Shipyard launches small refrigerating trawler of Project Т30В, Vympel
On 20 November 2019, Rybinsk, Russia based Nobel Brothers Shipbuilding & Shiprepair Yard launched a small refrigerating trawler of Project Т30В, Vympel, ordered by Murmansk based fishing company Karelryba, says press center of the Yaroslavl Region Government.
According to Dmitry Glushkov, Acting Director of the Department for Investments and Industry, Yaroslavl Region Government, the ship built within a short period of time is intended for coastal fishing by bottom trawling, onboard fish processing and delivery of cooled ship to the shore.
The launching ceremony programme also included signing of an agreement between the Association of Coastal Fishing and Farming Enterprises of Murman and Vympel Shipyard on the intent to sign contracts for construction of 10 small fishing trawlers of Т30В design.
Nobel Brothers Shipyard LLC (owned by Vympel Shipyard) based in Rybinsk of Russia was founded in 1907. Today, this is the largest shipbuilding firm in the Upper Volga: the yard encompasses 214,000 sq. km, the company's workforce is 500 employees. The shipyard specializes in the construction, maintenance, repair and refitting of sea-going and river multipurpose vessels with 6500DWT, a length of 140 m, beam of 17 m and launching weight of 2700 tonnes. The range includes dry bulk carriers, tankers, barges, container ships, timber carriers, diving support and hydrographic vessels, harbour vessels, workboats, oil boom workboats; hulls of various types and modern comfortable yachts.
