Loading of West-Siberian railway up 15.7% in Jan. 07, y-o-y

In January 2007, West-Siberian railway loaded 22.258 million tons of cargo (115.7% against January 2005), PR Department of WSRW reports. Export totaled 8.783 million tons (+23.8%, year-on-year). Loading of coal grew by 17.2% to 16.157 million tons, timber – 163.5 thou tons (167.2% against January 2006), cement – 194.5 thou tons (+58.3%), grain – 118.6 thou tons (290.7% against January 2006). Transshipment of metal scrap, coke and oil also exceeded the results of January 2006 by 50.8%, 24.1% and 6.9% correspondingly (amounting to 100.9 thou tons, 573.6 thou tons and 901 thou tons).
