Cargo turnover of the port of Yeisk (Ukraine) up 66.6% in Jan. 07, y-o-y

Stevedoring companies operating at the seaport of Yeisk (the Sea of Azov, Ukraine) upped transshipment of cargo by 2.4 times to 372.2 thou tons, Interfax-Yug reports according to kuban.info.  Regional Department of transport and communications attribute high results to favorable weather conditions. According to press center Yeisk Seaport OJSC, the port’s largest stevedoring company, its cargo turnover grew by 66.6% - to 128.957 thou tons, including 58.794 thou tons of coal (2.8-fold growth), 21.573 thou tons of round timber (+28.3%), 12.78 thou tons of cast iron (+43.5%).

Yeisk Seaport OJSC dispatches and accepts cargo from the ports of Turkey, Greece, Italy, Israel, Egypt, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia. The port specializes in transshipment of rolled metal, timber, grain, metal scrap, coal.
