Russian President signs Water Code amendments
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal Law “On introduction of amendments into the Water Code of the Russian Federation and certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”, says Kremlin’s official website.
The Federal Law was approved by the State Duma on 4 December 2019 and by the Federation Council on 11 December 2019.
The Federal Law elaborates legislative regulation of water bodies use for construction, reconstruction and operation of hydraulic engineering structure as well as for dredging, hydraulic engineering, blasting and other works entailing water bodies’ bottom and shore reshaping.
In the mentioned part, the Water Code of the Russian Federation is brought into line with the Town-Planning Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law “On safety of hydraulic engineering structures”.
Besides, the newly signed law refines the definition of ‘bottom soil’ and sets specifications of bottom soil use particularly for local purposes, construction and expansion of seaports.
