In the 11-month period of 2006, Latvia’s export to other EU countries grew by 11%, year-on-year, or by $408 million – to $4.124 billion, RZD-Partner reports. Export to CIS countries totaled $768.5 million – (+$192 million, or +33.5%, year-on-year).
Over the reported period, import from EU countries grew by 31% to $7.966 billion, from CIS countries - $1.514 billion (+11.9%). Major export partners of Latvia were Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Russia and Great Britain. Import: Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Estonia and Poland.
