APL has organized a Philippines feeder service connecting directly Singapore to Cagayan de Oro, Bugo and Davao, branded 'Mindanao Express' (MDX - 85521). It comes back to Singapore via Kaohsiung and Manila. The MDX is an extension to Singapore of the Kaohsiung-Philippines feeder service ('Bugo' service - 8552).
The MDX is one of the rare services offering a direct connection between the Philippines and Singapore, allowing competitive connections with SE Asia destinations by transhipment. It allows also a fast northbound connection between Mindanao and the hub of Kaohsiung.
The MDX is ensured with the APL-chartered QC VISION (1,118 teu), SYMS HUASHAN (1,118 teu) and NEW CONFIDENCE (1,078 teu).
