Evergreen is believed to increase progressively the capacity of its Far East-Middle East Gulf service by around 65%. It is to introduce 2,868 teu ships of the 'G'-class replacing 1,600-1,800 teu ones, starting with the IASON.
Other upgradings on the Far East to Middle East and Red Sea sector are also under consideration, with 3,500 teu tonnage expected to replace 2,700-2,900 teu one.
