Cargo turnover of Izmail Commercial Seaport (Ukraine) up 54.1% in Jan. 07, y-o-y

In January 2007 cargo turnover of Izmail Commercial Seaport (Ukraine) totaled 0.55 million tons (+54.1%, year-on-year), the port’s administration reports c RBC-Ukraine. Over the reported period the port handled 0.19 million tons of transit cargo (2.3-fold growth), 0.35 million tons of export cargo (+30.8%). The port increased transshipment of coal, ore, fertilizers and cast iron while transshipment of coke and grain decreased. In 2006, the port’s cargo turnover grew by 2.7% - to 6.8 million tons.
