Ukraine’s Energy Ministry plans expansion of a tank farm at Yuzhny oil terminal
Ukraine’s Energy Ministry plans expansion of a tank farm at Yuzhny oil terminal (operated by Ukrtransnafta, Ukraine), RZD-Partner reports. The project is aimed at improvement of the terminal operation safety and reliability as well as at improvement of competitiveness of Brody-Odessa oil pipeline.
The project implies construction of additional 20,000 m3 tanks. The construction is said to be costing 105 million hryvnias ($21 million). Planned source of financing is credit resources borrowed by Ukrtransnafta OJSC.
As of today, the largest storage tank of Ukraine with a capacity of 75,000 m3 is operated by Ukrtransnafta (Brody tank farm). It cost the company about $10 million.
