Tuapse Commercial Seaport to handle about 13.9 million tons of oil and oil products in 2007

Tuapse Commercial Seaport plans to handle about 7.6 million tons of dry cargo and 13.9 million tons of oil and oil products in 2007, Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner.
In 2006, TCS handled 6.92 million tons of dry cargo, 14.34 million tons of oil cargo. Thus, the growth in transshipment of dry cargo is to make 9.8%, while transshipment of liquid bulk cargo is to decrease by 3.1%. Total cargo turnover of TCS is to reach 21.5 million tons in 2007 (+1.1%). As the company reported earlier, the decrease in transshipment of liquid bulk cargo should be attributed to repair of berth No4.

The revenue planned by the company for 2007 is to total about RUR 2.4 billion. Investment into capital construction and purchase of new machinery will make RUR 971 million.

In 2005, the port handled 21.26 million tons of cargo. 69.4% of Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC is owned by Novolipetsk Metallurgical Complex OJSC, 25% of shareholding is controlled by government.
