Brostrom signs long-term agreement with German Offen

Broström has entered a long-term partnership with Reederi Claus-Peter Offen, which will add eight 37,000-DWT products tankers to the Broström commercial fleet. All eight are newbuildings and will be delivered to the German company from Hyundai Mipo in Korea during the second half of 2008. The deal doubles the Broström European fleet in this size segment. All told, Broström operates about 60 tankers ranging from 8,000 – 37,000 tons deadweight in the European market and a further 20 tankers from 20,000 to 50,000 tons deadweight outside Europe.
