Russian Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko has suggested that Japan participate in Rosneft's project to construct an oil refinery at the Pacific Ocean terminal of the ESPO oil pipeline, RBC reports. According to the ministry's press office, Khristenko made this proposal during a meeting with Japan's Economy Minister Akira Amari.
Amari confirmed to journalists that Rosneft had offered Japan the opportunity to participate in the distribution and production of refined oil products. Khristenko considers this idea to be a good one and assured journalists that the Russian government would support this initiative.
