The Norwegian companies Moss Maritime and Moss Mosvold Platforms have ordered a third semiloading platform from the Sevmash construction plant in Severodvinsk (Arkhangelsk Oblast).
The MOSS CS50 M concept is a Floating Production Unit (FPU) which belong to the fifth generation of semi-submersible platforms developed by Moss Maritime. The weight of the platform is 15,000 tons. The size 118x70x40 meters. The platform can be used together with various types of equipment.
Sevmash and Moss Maritime AS in June 2005 signed the first contract on the construction of the Moss CS-50 platform. The construction process of the platform was started in February 2006.
