Latvia to build a refinery in Daugavpilss region

First Latvian refinery may be built in Daugavpilss region, oilcapital.ru reports. Forecasted volume of investments is $200 million.  The refinery’s design capacity is to make about 500,000 tones of crude oil per year. Production volumes are to include 66 thou tons of petrol and 370 thou tons of diesel fuel. As of today, output of Mazeikiu nafta, the only refinery in the Baltic states totals 9 million tons per year.
