HSH N Nordic Finance in Stockholm has acquired seven container carriers in sizes ranging from 2,100 TEU to 4,650 TEU, all built in 2000 and thereafter, for USD 390 million. The company has also purchased a container portfolio for USD 91 million. The vessels as well as the containers have been leased to the German liner company Hapag-Lloyd on long-term operating lease agreements. In another deal, the company has also bought a pair of 7,200-TEU carriers.
