Gazprom's Board of Directors has approved transactions related to the holding's becoming a major shareholder in Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy, the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project), Gazprom's press office said according to RBC. As reported earlier, Gazprom is set to purchasing a controlling interest in the project for $7.45bn.
