Throughput of OAO Eastern Stevedore Company up 22% in Jan.-Feb. 07, y-o-y

Eastern Stevedore Company, which handles containers at the Eastern port, handled 51 667 TEU ( +22% ) in January-February 2006, RZD-Partner reports.
In particularly, 22.182 TEU was handled in February (+20% year-on-year).
Handling of transit container freights reduced to 1,099 TEU (6, 188 TEU in January-February 2006).
Export increased by 21% to 16,377 TEU.
Handling of import containers increased by 53% and reached 32,102 TEU.
2,089 TEU of coastal trade containers was handled (+29 %).
