Latvijas dzelzcels (Latvian Railway) will transfer all the freight transportation to its new subsidiary – LDz Cargo.
All the agreements of freight transportation, which were concluded with LDz (Latvijas dzelzcels) will be automatically transferred to the subsidiary.
LDz cargo will also operate as logistic company and as a forwarder. The company will possibly start transportation between Latvia and Kazakhstan. Possibly, the company will organize transportation to China.
The company will try to attract new types of freights to Latvia.
LDz will be manage infrastructure in the future. Nowadays there are seven subsidiaries of LDz: Pasazieru vilciens, Dzelzcela apsardze (Railway Safety), VRZ Zasulauks, Starptautiskie pasazieru parvadajumi (International Passenger Transportation , LDz Infrastruktura, LDz Cargo and LDz Ritosa sastava serviss (Service of rolling stock).
